I went here for my birthday with my husband who isn't vegan. I've been to a lot of vegan/vegetarian restaurants and I had really high expectations for Brother Bon. The menu is extensive and the choices are exciting. I had the Hianese 'chicken' and rice and it was good but I've had better for less $. Hubby had a mushroom steak thing and he really enjoyed it. The pistachio matcha was absolutely delightful and beautiful to look at. Overall a lovely experience but just a bit expensive for what you get. I'll go back if I get the chance.

Absolutely blown away by the selection of dishes. We tried the sizzling Mongolian tofu & veggies either coconut rice, salt & pepper tofu with salad and the mango pudding and banana fritters with ice cream. Everything vegan Each dish was delicious. Staff friendly and service quick. Definitely going back when in Melbourne!!
Omgosh just love this place! Beautiful vegan food, lovely kind staff, and a great atmosphere. Every dish we ordered was delightful, especially the dry Vietnamese Noodles and the Sizzling Plum Sauce Duck. They also have a huge range of Vegan Gelato which you can either enjoy there or take home, so we ordered a pack with 3 flavours in it. Can’t wait to try and definitely will be back again and again!
By far the best vegan restaurant there is. I could eat here every day and be happy. Everything I’ve tried is incredible but the stand out is definitely the Bún bò Huế with beef. There’s something for everyone, great restaurant for non vegans too it won’t disappoint!
Almost tastes like meat. Almost. Massive menu covering standard Chinese/Vietnamese dishes, as well as burgers and souvlaki. Burger definitely tastes like meat, similar to a meat patty. Quite interesting they can get vegan food tasting and feeling like meat texture. Well flavoured, just a tad too much salt. Popcorn chicken looked like chicken, but texture didn't quite make the cut. Not sure why it tasted slightly burnt on the first mouthful. Not great. Not bad. Very generous portions. Burger came with chips and salad. Lamb souvlaki was also made well and tasted like lamb. The matcha specials are amazing. You definitely need one regardless of if you're a fan of matcha or not. Banana matcha was insane. 10/10 would order again. Staff were super friendly and general vibe in the restaurant was good. Good for catchups and dates. Family friendly.
That’s a proper restaurant — I haven’t been to one in a long time. They even have animations on the wall. I like their gelato, especially the Thai milk tea and bubble gum flavours. I can't wait they develop a new Thai milk tea with Thai milk tea ice cream on top the drink.
The place only serves vegan food. And does a pretty good job trying to mimic the non vegetarian foods. Store is pretty busy most of the time. But the service is really fast and good. They may offer u a free gelato if it's your birthday or something!!! Place is comparatively expensive. It serves both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.
Probably the best dining experience I have had in a long while. The staff at BB are caring and attentive, and the food was fantastic. But the hero of the night was the Baileys Rum & Raison Gelato. We were absolutely bursting at the seams, and still bought a tub to take home for later. My only regret was waiting so long to come here!
